Valli Henry-Boldini - Dish: Bara
Ingredients
- 1 cup chickpea flour
- ? cup flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 small onion finely chopped
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 shallot finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic finely chopped
- 1 tsp medium curry powder
- Water
- Frying oil
Method
- Sift the dry ingredients together, then slowly mix in all the other ingredients.
- Add enough water to make a stiff dough. Divide the dough into small portions.
- Roll into ? inch thick rounds, and fry in hot oil until golden brown.
- Drain well on kitchen roll and serve hot with achar.
